The recycling process

• Collection: Aluminum waste is collected from various sources, such as packaging (beverage cans, foils, containers), automotive components, electronic equipment, and other aluminum-containing products. Collection can be done through local recycling programs, recycling centers, or directly from industrial sources.
• Sorting: After collection, aluminum waste is sorted to remove other materials that are not aluminum, such as plastic, paper, or other metals. Sorting can be done manually or with the help of automated technologies like magnetic separation or X-ray detection.
• Shredding: The sorted aluminum is then shredded into small pieces to facilitate subsequent melting. This stage helps increase the efficiency of the melting process.
• Melting: The aluminum pieces are melted in a special furnace at temperatures around 660°C. During this process, impurities are removed, and pure aluminum is separated and collected.
• Casting: The liquid aluminum is poured into molds or ingots, which are then cooled and solidified. These ingots can later be used to produce new aluminum products, such as aluminum sheets, extrusions, or other components.

Refabrication: Recycled aluminum is used in the manufacture of a wide range of new products, from packaging and automotive components to construction materials and electronic equipment. The recycling process ensures that aluminum retains all its properties, allowing for its reuse at maximum quality.
